1.Definitions
The following defined terms have the following meanings within the terms and conditions:
1.1 “AA”, "we", “our”, and “us” means the Airport Authority, a body corporate validly existing by virtue of the Airport Authority Ordinance (Cap. 483, Laws of Hong Kong).
1.2 “Account” means the HKIA SkyBiz Member Account registered under the Programme in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 “Activities” mean quizzes, seminars, training, surveys, social media sharing, promotional campaigns and other engagement events organized by AA under HKIA SkyBiz or HKIA partnered events as designated by AA.
1.4 “Content” means all information, data, text, graphics, photographs, videos, documents, digital materials, or other materials available on the Platform, including but not limited to: (a) materials available on the Platform’s learning modules, such as training content, quizzes relating to HKIA facilities, services, operations and airport processes, travelrelated policy updates; (b) materials available on the Platform’s resource download page, such as photographs, videos, e-newsletters, promotional flyers.
1.5 “HKIA” means the Hong Kong International Airport.
1.6 “Member” / “you” means any individual who registers for HKIA SkyBiz membership and uses the Platform.
1.7 “Platform” means the HKIA SkyBiz website portal on which the Programme operates.
1.8 “Programme” / “HKIA SkyBiz” means the HKIA SkyBiz programme, a business-to-business (B2B) travel trade engagement programme owned and administered by AA in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, as may be updated or amended by AA from time to time.
1.9 “Rewards” means any rewards offered by AA to Members, including merchandise, vouchers, digital items, experiences, and other items designated by AA.
1.10 “Reward Points” means the points under the Programme earned by the Member in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
2.HKIA SkyBiz Membership
2.1 Membership registration and eligibility
2.1.1. To join the HKIA SkyBiz Programme, you must provide your business contact details as part of the registration process. Upon submission of your details, you will receive a one-time password (OTP) to verify your email address. After successful verification, you will be prompted to provide additional information required to create your account. Your membership of the Programme will remain active until it is terminated.
2.1.2. Membership is exclusive to participants from travel-related company, including but not limited to a travel agency, tour operator, airline, corporate travel managers, destination management companies and other industry partners. AA reserves the right to approve or reject any membership applications at its sole discretion.
2.1.3. By registering an Account and using the Platform, you agree and acknowledge that you have read and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to any of these Terms and Conditions, please discontinue the use of the Account or the Platform immediately. AA shall be entitled at any time to deactivate or terminate your Account if you breach any of these Terms and Conditions.
When registering an Account, you agree that: 1) You must provide us with accurate, complete and up-to-date registration information; 2) You authorize us to assume that any person using the Account with your login ID and password is yourself.
2.1.4. Any loss incurred or sustained by the Member in transmitting personal information shall be solely borne by the Member. If the Member is using a public computer or device, the Member shall ensure that he/she signs out from the Account once he/she has completed his/her use of the Platform.
2.1.5. You confirm and acknowledge that your use of the Account does not and will not contravene any law, rule, regulation, judgment, decree, permit, authorization, policy or directive (in each case, with or without the force of law) which is binding on or otherwise applicable to you or to which it is subject.
2.1.6. Member may terminate its Account subject to the AA’s approval. The AA shall have the sole discretion to refuse registration of an Account and to deactivate or terminate the Account of any Members for any reason whatsoever and without prior notice. In the event that the Account is terminated for whatsoever reason, all unused Reward Points or uncollected Rewards shall automatically be forfeited upon the termination and shall no longer be available for use by the Member.
3.Reward Points earning and registration
3.1 Earning Reward Points
3.1.1. Members may earn Reward Points by participating in the Activities, such as: · Completing the Account registration · Inviting peers to register an Account or registering upon invitation from Member · Completing online quizzes at the Platform · Attending offline or online seminars/events organized or co-organized by AA, or partnered with HKIA, that are designated by AA as eligible to earn Reward Points under the Programme · Sharing promotional content provided by AA on approved social media platforms · Joining dedicated HKIA SkyBiz social media community groups · Participating in other engagement tasks announced by AA
3.1.2. Reward Points earned will be credited to the Member’s Account according to rules set by AA.
3.1.3. The types of Activities and the number of Reward Points awarded for each Activity will be published on the Platform and may be updated, suspended, or adjusted at AA’s sole discretion without prior notice.
3.2 Registration of Reward Points 3.2.1. Automatic points credit Certain Activities will earn Reward Points automatically upon completion. These include, but are not limited to: · Successful registration of a Member Account; · Referring eligible industry partners to register as a Member; · Completion of registration upon invitation from a Member; · Completion of designated online quizzes on Platform.
Reward Points for automatically credited Activities will be reflected in the Member’s Account within a reasonable processing period determined by AA.
3.2.2. Membersubmitted points registration For the Activities that require manual verification, the Members must submit a points registration application through the Platform. Examples include, but are not limited to: · Attending offline or online seminars/events partnered with HKIA · Sharing promotional content provided by AA on approved social media platforms · Joining dedicated HKIA SkyBiz social media community groups · Participating in other engagement tasks announced by AA
Members must upload supporting documents as required for verification. Such documents may include attendance proof, event confirmations, event photos, screenshots, certificates, or any other materials deemed acceptable by AA. AA reserves the right to request additional information when necessary.
The submitted registration will be processed within 7 working days from the date of submission through the Platform. If the submission is approved by the AA, the corresponding Reward Points will be credited to the Member’s Account.
AA’s decision on the acceptance, rejection, or adjustment of any Reward Points registration application is final and binding. AA may decline applications that are incomplete, illegible, duplicated, unverifiable, or inconsistent with the rules of the relevant Activity.
3.3 Redemption of Rewards 3.3.1. All Reward Points have no monetary value and can only be earned, registered or utilized in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Any other use, including but not limited to the sale, trade, transfer or exchange of Reward Points may result in the forfeiture of the Reward Points in question, cancellation of Rewards and/or immediate termination of Membership or Account, without prejudice to any rights or remedies available to the AA at law or in contract.
3.3.2. Members may use their Reward Points to redeem the Rewards listed in the rewards catalogue of Platform as updated by AA from time to time. Types of rewards may include merchandise, vouchers, digital items, experiences, and other items designated by AA. All Rewards, including the required Reward Points for redemption, availability, and item descriptions, are subject to change without prior notice.
3.3.3. Each item of Reward offered under the Programme may be subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by AA and/or the relevant supplier, merchant, or service provider. By redeeming the Rewards, the Member agrees to comply with such terms and conditions. AA is not responsible for any matters relating to the use, availability, quality, fulfilment, or performance of Rewards provided by third‑party suppliers / service provider. All issues, enquiries or disputes relating to third‑party Rewards shall be handled directly between the Member and the relevant supplier / service provider.
4.Use of Content
4.1 The Content provided on or available through the Platform is provided for general reference, training, and knowledgeenhancement purposes only and do not constitute official operational guidelines, legal or regulatory advice.
4.2 AA endeavours to ensure the Content is accurate at the time of publication; however, the relevant information such as airport operations, airline procedures, and travelrelated policies may change from time to time. AA does not warrant the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of the Content and any part thereof. AA is not responsible for any decisions or actions taken by Members based on or in reliance of the Content.
4.3 Access to and download of Content on the Platform is strictly limited to registered Members. All such Content is provided exclusively for Members’ internal use, internal training and selflearning.
4.4 Members shall not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, or otherwise use the Content for any commercial, training, or promotional purposes outside the HKIA SkyBiz Programme without AA’s prior written consent.
5.Personal data protection
The AA is committed to safeguarding the privacy of all individuals with respect to their personal data. We therefore make sure that our policies and practices in relation to the collection, use, retention, transfer and access of personal data comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486) under the laws of Hong Kong. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
6.Limitation of Liability
6.1 The AA shall have the absolute discretion to engage agents, contractors or other service providers to administer and/or implement the Platform and the Programme. To the extent permitted by law, the AA shall not be liable to any Member or person for any act, omission or neglect on the part of such agents, contractors or service providers.
6.2 The AA shall not be liable in any way for any damages, losses, costs, expenses, liabilities or compensation, whether direct or indirect, which arise from or are in connection with your access and use of the Account and/or the Platform; or any breach of security, delay, corruption or destruction of data or systems (including but not limited to those caused by any virus or other malicious code), transmission error, inaccessibility (whether in connection with upgrading or modification of the Account and/or the Platform, failure or insufficiency of the technical facilities or technical issues on the user’s side) of the Account and/or the Platform; or any part thereof, whether due to the negligence of the AA or its officers, employees, agents, contractors or otherwise.
7.Indemnity
You hereby agree to indemnify and hold the AA, its officers, employees, agents and contractors harmless against all damages, losses, costs (including legal costs), expenses and liabilities suffered or incurred by the AA, its officers, employees, agents or contractors arising out of or referable to any claims, suits or proceedings brought against the AA, its officers, employees, agents or contractors by third parties arising out of or in connection with your acts, failures, omissions and defaults, including but not limited to infringement of any intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties; unauthorised access and/or use of the Account and/or the Platform or any part thereof; unauthorised disclosure or use of any authentication method for accessing the Account and/or the Platform; and/or failing to act in accordance with these Terms and Conditions; or arising from any tax, duties, excise or licence fee liability in connection with these terms and conditions (with the exclusion of taxes payable by the AA on its income).
8. Property Rights
8.1 Any use of materials on the Account and the Platform, including alteration, modification, distribution or republication, without the AA’s prior written consent is prohibited.
8.2 You shall not modify, copy, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works based on, or frame, republish, download, display, transmit, distribute or reproduce (in any form whatsoever) the Platform or Content (whether in whole or in part), or permit anyone else to do so, unless you have obtained AA’s prior written consent.
8.3 You acknowledge and agree that all rights, title, interest and Intellectual Property rights in the Platform and the Content are owned exclusively by AA or AA’s third-party licensors. You have no rights, title or interests in the Platform or the Content, save for the limited purpose under Clause 4 above.
8.4 For the purpose of this Clause, “Intellectual Property rights” means all intellectual and industrial property rights, including patents, trademarks, service marks, registered designs, domain names, trade and business names, copyrights, database rights, know-how, rights in designs and inventions, and any similar rights in any part of the world, whether presently existing or created in the future, and whether registered or not.
9.Waiver and Severability
9.1 No failure on the part of the AA to exercise, and no delay on its part in exercising, any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions will operate as a waiver thereof, nor will any single or partial exercise of any right or remedy preclude any other or further exercise thereof or the exercise of any other right or remedy.
9.2 If any of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid, illegal or unenforceable by any court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction, it will be severed and the remaining terms will continue in full force and effect as if these Terms had been made without the invalid, illegal or unenforceable terms.
10.General
10.1 The AA may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. If any dispute arises, the AA's decision and determination shall be final and conclusive.
10.2 Where these Terms and Conditions are also available in Traditional and/or Simplified Chinese and/or other language versions, the English version shall be the governing version and shall prevail whenever there is a discrepancy among the versions.
10.3 The AA reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Platform at any time at its sole discretion.
10.4 You shall not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions or any part, interest or share herein without the prior written consent of the AA.
10.5 The Platform is provided on an “as is” basis and the AA makes no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to the Platform and disclaims all such representations and warranties. In addition, the AA makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, non-infringement, title, or suitability for any purpose of all information and content made available on or through the Platform. Such information and content may contain factual or technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. All liability of the AA howsoever arising from any such inaccuracies or errors is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10.6 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Hong Kong") and both you and the AA agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
