HKIA’s SKYTOPIA: A New Destination to Add Value to Hong Kong Itineraries

Latest News01/05/2026

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is transforming its Airport City vision with SKYTOPIA, a major tourism, lifestyle and entertainment development designed to become a destination rather than simply an airport gateway. Located adjacent to HKIA, SKYTOPIA will bring together retail, dining, entertainment, hotels, arts, leisure and waterfront attractions in one integrated precinct.

For overseas travel agents, SKYTOPIA presents new opportunities to extend clients' stays in Hong Kong and create more diverse itineraries. Instead of viewing the airport area solely as a transit point, visitors will be able to enjoy entertainment, shopping, cultural experiences and waterfront attractions before or after their flights.

Planned highlights include Hong Kong's first one-stop art hub, a large marina and yacht bay with over 500 berths, waterfront promenades, a marine resort, luxury hotels, sports and entertainment facilities, and the expansion of AsiaWorld-Expo phase 2 with a 20,000-seat performance venue.

SKYTOPIA has the potential to turn HKIA from a transport hub into a destination attraction, giving travel agents new product ideas, additional itinerary components and stronger reasons for clients to choose Hong Kong as part of their travel plans.
